Meet Carey Hyndman

Founder, Your Voice Consulting

Owner Carey Hyndman is a communications and engagement strategist with prairie roots and practical answers for business and personal challenges. She has forged a 25-year career helping people, non-profit organizations, governments and corporations communicate effectively with their valued rightsholders, stakeholders and shareholders.

Carey has a journalism background, and was trusted to manage the communications and engagement files for mining and nuclear companies in Canada. She has a critical eye and a reputation for problem solving and relationship building. She’s had the opportunity to work closely with Indigenous communities and leadership in Saskatchewan on day-to-day relationship building as well as project-specific consultation. She is committed to serving these communities in a spirit of reconciliation.

Carey strongly believes that effective communication starts with developing the plan to target the appropriate audience with the right message. She values progress over perfection, and sees meaningful engagement as a continuum. Her work with the provincial government prior to mining, informs her approach to public affairs at the local and national level.
